Warehouse Management Systems Analyst, 3rd Shift – Houston Onsite

Support and improve warehouse management systems for GXO Logistics on the third shift. This role translates operational needs into system configurations, resolves issues, and helps optimize supply-chain processes.

Description

  • Act as the primary liaison between Operations and IT
  • Assess, define, and investigate existing warehouse management systems
  • Configure, test, and support business functions
  • Use system applications to identify and recommend process improvements
  • Keep management informed about system changes, enhancements, and modifications
  • Establish project scope
  • Diagnose and resolve system issues
  • Convert user needs into functional requirements
  • Develop process models, diagrams, and charts
  • Manage warehouse management system configuration updates
  • Define and coordinate test-case implementation
  • Train end users on updated and newly introduced processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent related work or military experience
  • At least one year of experience implementing logistics systems
  • Professional experience in distribution or warehousing
  • Experience with warehouse management systems, order management applications, and database systems
  • Understanding of automated software systems and their implementation
  • Knowledge of Blue Yonder
  • Two years of experience with WMS configuration, relational databases, and SQL query writing
  • Strong Excel capabilities, including dropdown creation, formatting, pivot tables, and charts
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and prioritize competing tasks
  • Strong change management capabilities
  • Ability to secure cooperation from stakeholders, project teams, and other departments
  • Must follow GXO policies and applicable CDC, OSHA, state, and local COVID-19 safety requirements
  • May need to complete a pre-employment drug test
