Technical Sales Associate Co-op – Toronto Hybrid

Support S&C Electric’s high-voltage protection products and electrical grid solutions in a technical sales role. Help with customer quotations, applications, engineering calculations, and protection projects.

Description

  • Prepare quotations, order documentation, and product applications with limited supervision
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers
  • Support colleagues with product information, production methods, departmental procedures, and related processes
  • Respond to internal clients by phone, in writing, or in person
  • Complete basic electrical and protection engineering calculations, including available fault current analysis and fuse curve coordination
  • Develop knowledge of and recommend protection solutions for substation transformers, buses, and feeders
  • Contribute to high-voltage protection projects with cross-functional teams
  • Learn to create single-line diagrams for high-voltage circuits serving utility and industrial customers
  • Condense transmission- and distribution-level protection specifications and apply suitable S&C protection devices
  • Handle other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Pursuing a post-secondary degree in electrical engineering
  • Enrolled in an eligible co-op program
  • Available and authorized to work for four months during the Winter 2027 work term
  • Understanding of fundamental engineering concepts
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems
  • Able to interpret electrical schematics and technical specifications
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Able to perform routine or occasional light physical tasks, including lifting, moving, or using objects or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds
