Technical Preparation Engineer (Part-Time, Onsite) – Vista Global

Prepare Part 145 maintenance proposals, workpacks, and ERP templates for Vista Aircraft Maintenance. Support aircraft safety, operational readiness, and fleet performance at Farnborough Airport.

Description

  • Report to the Technical Services Manager
  • Provide ROM estimates for the Production Plan following an initial request from the Technical Planning Engineer
  • Create and revise ERP quotes, workpacks, and work orders, reviewing labour, warranty or service-plan coverage, and required notes
  • Prepare and update physical workpacks, including company task cards and printed maintenance data
  • Assess Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins for relevance to quoted or completed work
  • Build and amend canned-squawk templates covering labour, parts, tooling, instructions, services, access requirements, and notes
  • Maintain AMP revisions in the ERP system
  • Review requested template changes and approve or reject them as appropriate
  • Monitor and update maintenance data on company servers in coordination with IT
  • Monitor and circulate new Airworthiness Directives applicable to the approved fleet
  • Maintain quote, workpack, workload-allocation, and historical trend records as needed
  • Complete physical workpack tracking records for Technical Records
  • Create and maintain departmental user guides and TPMs
  • Escalate maintenance data errors to CAMO
  • Support the Technical Services Manager with budget estimates

Requirements

  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with close attention to detail
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and conversation
  • Organize competing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Collaborate effectively across technical functions as part of a team
  • Interpret and document technical information from diverse sources
  • Bring experience in aircraft maintenance, engineering, or technical services, ideally in a Part 145, Part M, or OEM environment
  • Have a thorough understanding of Part 145, especially 145.A.47, plus a basic understanding of Part M
  • Have prior exposure to proposal preparation, tendering, or project estimation
  • Use Microsoft Office and ERP software proficiently
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English
