Description

  • Lead the design and delivery of scalable platform capabilities
  • Develop infrastructure, tooling, and machine learning frameworks that support roadmap priorities
  • Own coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Use cloud-native architecture principles to create scalable, resilient, and adaptable systems
  • Lead reviews of system architecture and design
  • Develop AI-powered applications that combine machine learning components with automation
  • Mentor engineers and encourage strong engineering practices
  • Work with stakeholders to turn complex problems into clear technical requirements
  • Advance processes, tools, and products through innovation and data-informed improvements
  • Support Walmart Marketplace Engineering platforms and services for seller lifecycle management, customer interactions, and seller insights

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related field plus four years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, six years of relevant software engineering experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation
  • Strong command of software design patterns, API design, and platform development
  • Experience leading the complete software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and observability
  • Ability to mentor engineers and guide technical decisions
  • Strong data-driven decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Creativity in software prototyping and tooling
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in a relevant discipline and two years of software engineering or related experience
  • Preferred: Familiarity with WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices
