Solution Architect - London Hybrid

Design secure, scalable AML integrations for Napier’s financial-crime platform. Connect clients, Sales, and delivery teams from discovery through implementation.

Description

  • Serve as the technical link between clients, Sales, and Professional Services delivery teams.
  • Lead solution architecture and design from initial discovery through implementation.
  • Assess client environments, data flows, and business requirements, adapting designs and communication for technical and business stakeholders.
  • Design and document end-to-end solutions spanning data integration, transformation, orchestration, and event-driven architectures.
  • Work with Sales during technical discovery to assess feasibility, uncover constraints and dependencies, and develop practical solutions.
  • Contribute to sales pursuits through solution proposals, technical answers, and RFP/RFI responses.
  • Lead focused proof-of-concept projects to test assumptions and reduce integration risk.
  • Provide architectural oversight for build, configuration, integration, and deployment after contract signature.
  • Evaluate designs and changes while equipping delivery teams with blueprints, standards, and decision records.
  • Establish reusable integration patterns, reference architectures, and standard approaches.
  • Define and document data flows, formats, and transport methods across asynchronous, synchronous, and streaming systems.
  • Help clients understand information security controls and data protection practices while supporting compliance obligations such as GDPR.
  • Create technical documentation and coach internal teams.

Requirements

  • Background in financial crime, compliance, or anti-money laundering domains.
  • Strong experience with enterprise software, cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP, and secure deployment practices.
  • Broad understanding of business, data, software, and technology architecture and how these areas interact.
  • Expertise in API integration, ETL, data transformation, and orchestration technologies such as NiFi, Kafka, API gateways, and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of data formats and transport protocols.
  • Knowledge of information security practices, including encryption and key management for secure data transfer.
  • Clear communicator with strong stakeholder-management skills and the credibility to engage client architecture teams.
  • Able to work independently, balance competing priorities, and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Desirable: Experience handling large datasets, distributed systems, and performance testing.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with SSO, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, and identity providers.
  • Desirable: Practical experience with Elasticsearch, time-series databases, or comparable technologies.
  • Desirable: Experience working with SaaS platforms in regulated sectors.
