Software Engineer, Spec-Driven AI Development (Mexico, Remote)

Description
- Turn product needs into detailed specifications, technical plans, and task lists for AI coding agents
- Use tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Kiro to build, review, test, and refine features
- Deliver features across backend services, APIs, and integrations, from initial specification to production
- Set acceptance criteria and automated tests before implementation
- Keep project context files, coding standards, reusable prompts, and templates up to date
- Assess AI-generated and human-written code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability
- Help strengthen the team’s specification-led workflow, development tools, and CI/CD practices
- Join daily standups and technical discussions with the US-based client team
Requirements
- At least four years of professional software engineering experience delivering production applications
- Regular, hands-on use of AI coding agents as a central part of development, beyond autocomplete
- Practical experience with specification-led development, including writing specifications, plans, or structured requirements to guide AI-generated code
- Strong backend skills in Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Go, along with REST APIs and SQL databases; alternatively, full-stack experience with React or a comparable modern frontend framework
- Sound testing practices, including unit and integration testing and test-first development
- Experience with Git workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD
- Experience deploying applications to AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Excellent written and spoken English, particularly for specifications and documentation
