Description

  • Plan and execute forensic investigations of compromised systems
  • Assess root causes and determine the scope of impact
  • Produce comprehensive forensic reports
  • Support analysis of malware, attacker tools, and techniques
  • Identify and examine malicious payloads
  • Train SOC analysts to use SIEM platforms such as Sentinel
  • Create and refine security detection rules
  • Help establish new SOC monitoring processes
  • Correlate actionable security events and evaluate threat data
  • Create custom detection signatures
  • Perform threat hunts to uncover advanced threats
  • Contribute to technical security briefings
  • Develop incident response procedures
  • Maintain compliance with operational and technical standards
  • Provide on-call support for critical incidents outside regular hours or on weekends when needed

Requirements

  • Professional experience investigating compromised systems using forensic methods
  • Working knowledge of root-cause and impact-scope analysis
  • Hands-on experience analyzing malware and attacker tools or techniques
  • Experience identifying and examining malicious payloads
  • Experience working with SIEM platforms such as Sentinel
  • Capability to create and refine security detection rules
  • Experience correlating actionable security events and evaluating threat data
  • Background developing custom detection signatures
  • Experience conducting threat hunts
  • Ability to train SOC analysts
  • Ability to develop incident response procedures
  • Commitment to operational and technical standards
  • Availability outside standard hours or on weekends may be required for critical incidents
