Senior Telecommunications Technical Lead – Onsite in Peru

Telecommunications installation technician for Stefanini, a global technology company. Install and maintain antennas, radios, RRUs, cabling, and related equipment on towers and base stations.

Description

  • Install, assemble, dismantle, and maintain telecommunications equipment on towers and base stations.
  • Perform elevated work to install antennas, RRUs, radios, and other telecommunications equipment.
  • Route, organize, and connect RF, power, and fiber-optic cabling.
  • Follow project technical procedures and quality standards.
  • Take part in safety inspections and verify work-area conditions before starting activities.
  • Report incidents, unsafe conditions, and risks identified during fieldwork.
  • Follow safety procedures for working at height and around electrical hazards.
  • Check personal protective equipment and tools before beginning work.
  • Attend safety briefings and complete job safety analyses and risk assessments before each activity.
  • Apply fall-prevention and work-at-height rescue procedures.
  • Stop and report work involving unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
  • Keep the work area organized and clean.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience as a telecommunications installation technician.
  • Experience installing antennas, RRUs, radios, and telecommunications equipment.
  • Comfort with climbing towers and prior experience working at height.
  • Knowledge of RF, power, and fiber-optic cable installation and connection.
  • Knowledge of RAN, transmission (TX), and power systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and procedures.
  • Availability to travel nationally to provincial locations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with responsibility and commitment.
  • Knowledge of the correct use of safety harnesses, lifelines, double anchorage systems, and other personal protective equipment.
