Senior Tech Lead, Application Development – Genpact, Montreal Hybrid

Lead application development and middleware operations for Genpact’s enterprise clients in a hybrid Montreal role. Oversee cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, automation, security, observability, and platform performance.

Description

  • Direct application development and middleware operations
  • Configure, integrate, and troubleshoot load balancers, web servers, and application servers
  • Create automation scripts with Python and Shell
  • Manage infrastructure, cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and middleware environments
  • Establish source control practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Implement security hardening, encryption, authentication, and authorization controls
  • Operate databases, graph databases, messaging, caching, workflow, and observability platforms
  • Conduct capacity planning and tune application and middleware performance
  • Support large web-based n-tier applications in secure cloud environments
  • Contribute to system architecture and application and middleware specialization

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or a master’s degree in Software Engineering
  • C2-level English proficiency
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix infrastructure, storage, and networking
  • Practical experience configuring, integrating, and troubleshooting load balancers, Apache/Nginx, Tomcat, and application integrations
  • Expert Python scripting and Shell scripting skills
  • Working knowledge of Ansible and Helm
  • Experience with source control and CI/CD using Jenkins, Artifactory, and Flux
  • Knowledge of security hardening, transport encryption, SSO, authentication, and authorization mechanisms
  • Basic operational knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS, Docker/Podman, and Kubernetes/OpenShift
  • Experience supporting large web-based n-tier applications in secure cloud environments
  • Hands-on experience with GraphDB and SPARQL
  • Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, and Airflow
  • Experience using Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Loki for observability
  • Knowledge of OIDC/OAuth, SAML, and LDAP integrations
  • Exposure to Hadoop and the ELK Stack
  • Experience in capacity planning and performance tuning for applications and middleware platforms
  • Experience in system architecture or software development
  • Hands-on experience as an application and middleware specialist
  • Experience in a global financial organization is an advantage; listed certifications include AZ-204, ISTQB Certified Tester, Microsoft Power Platform App Maker Associate, and Oracle Certified Professional Java SE 8 Programmer I.
