Description

  • Design and build systems that plan, orchestrate, and manage quantum workloads across hardware providers, simulators, and cloud environments
  • Study quantum applications and backend capabilities to improve execution performance and introduce new execution features
  • Uphold rigorous standards for software quality, reliability, and engineering excellence
  • Partner with Product, Infrastructure, core engineering teams, and quantum specialists to deliver production-ready software
  • Extend the quantum execution platform with infrastructure and abstractions for coordinating hybrid quantum-classical workloads across hardware and simulators

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience developing complex production software systems
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline
  • Extensive practical experience with Python
  • Background designing scalable backend, distributed, or workflow orchestration systems
  • Strong architectural judgment, including the ability to define clear abstractions, evaluate tradeoffs, and turn complex requirements into maintainable software
  • Proven ownership of complex technical problems from exploration and design through implementation and production operation
  • Enthusiasm for difficult problems spanning software engineering and technically complex domains
  • Quantum computing experience is advantageous but not required
