Senior Software Engineer, Go and AWS Multi-Region

Maintain production applications across multi-region AWS environments as a backend Go developer at Jobsity, a Latin American nearshore staffing partner. Troubleshoot deployments and contribute to CI/CD and cloud operations.

Description

  • Build and maintain production applications in multi-region AWS environments
  • Help deploy applications across multiple AWS regions
  • Diagnose application and deployment problems
  • Coordinate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to support dependable deployments
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance
  • Work with containerized, cloud-native applications
  • Help meet application availability, resilience, and disaster recovery needs
  • Investigate issues spanning application and cloud environments
  • Partner with the Tech Lead on technical decisions
  • Contribute to the wider multi-region architecture without owning it

Requirements

  • Practical experience with multi-region AWS environments where the same application runs in at least two regions
  • Experience operating, diagnosing, or supporting multi-region applications to meet availability, resilience, and disaster recovery needs
  • Strong software development skills in Go, Python, and Node.js
  • Experience with production applications
  • Able to diagnose application problems and work directly in the codebase
  • Comfortable working with infrastructure and DevOps teams
  • Practical AWS experience with cloud-native applications in production
  • Understanding of application deployment and operations across regions
  • Strong DevOps background covering CI/CD, infrastructure automation, cloud deployments, containers or orchestration, and deployment troubleshooting
