Senior Marketing Operations Analyst – Remote, United States

Lead marketing measurement, attribution, forecasting, and data integration for Newsela’s AI-powered K–12 education platform. Turn performance data into actionable insights for marketing leaders and cross-functional teams.

Description

  • Manage core elements of the marketing measurement, analytics, and reporting infrastructure
  • Report to the Director of Marketing Operations
  • Partner with Finance and Sales Operations to align reporting standards and audit processes
  • Architect full-funnel reporting in Salesforce and Tableau while defining key performance indicators
  • Standardize scalable analytical processes and reporting methods across marketing tools
  • Set KPIs and benchmarks to support testing and future modeling
  • Combine data from Marketo, Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other sources into unified performance insights
  • Create, implement, and govern multi-touch attribution and marketing influence models
  • Evaluate campaign results across channels and funnel stages to determine data and analytical needs
  • Define and implement data structures for producing, auditing, visualizing, and developing marketing reports
  • Lead cross-functional data integration projects that support operational workflows
  • Own the roadmap and delivery of a unified marketing data environment for end-to-end analysis
  • Develop predictive models and forecasts for MQLs, pipeline, and bookings using top-down and bottom-up approaches
  • Lead complex cross-functional analyses that strengthen data quality and inform business decisions
  • Create analytical frameworks that reveal trends, insights, and marketing optimization opportunities
  • Produce weekly executive reporting with strategic recommendations
  • Convert complex analyses into clear narratives and actionable guidance for marketing teams and executives

Requirements

  • At least five years of progressive experience in marketing analytics or operations
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including analysis and synthesis of complex datasets
  • Experience applying statistical modeling, forecasting, and advanced analytical methods to business and marketing performance
  • Proven experience creating marketing attribution approaches, including multi-touch attribution and marketing influence models
  • Strong understanding of the marketing and sales funnel, including MQLs, pipeline, bookings, conversions, and related performance measures
  • Experience developing scalable reporting frameworks, dashboards, and KPI measurement systems
  • Strong communication and data storytelling abilities for presenting complex analysis to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to build cross-functional partnerships and influence stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, Finance, and leadership
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, Marketo, Tableau, Google Analytics, or comparable platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience with Chili Piper, Salesloft, Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, or similar marketing and sales technology platforms
