Description
- Remediate vulnerabilities in applications
- Support and maintain legacy applications
- Modernize legacy applications, including migration from Java 8 to Java 21
- Investigate technical issues independently
- Develop and recommend appropriate solutions
- Own delivery from initiation through completion
- Configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Java Batch workloads
- Deploy and troubleshoot applications in Kubernetes environments
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Java backend development and the JVM, with experience supporting legacy systems, debugging, and managing libraries
- Practical experience remediating application security vulnerabilities, including code injection and insecure deserialization
- Experience with Maven or Gradle, transitive dependency analysis, mvn dependency:tree, dependencyManagement, and excluding vulnerable libraries
- Experience configuring, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Java Batch
- Understanding of Java version upgrades and compatibility considerations between Java 8 and later releases
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience, including application execution and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and delivery pipelines
- Experience migrating applications from Java 8 to Java 21
- Knowledge of Rancher
- Experience with Checkmarx or comparable security analysis tools
- Experience with CI/CD and development automation
- Previous experience as an AppSec Engineer or Senior Java Developer focused on security
- Experience using AI tools for software development and vulnerability remediation
