Senior IT SecOps Systems Engineer – Barco, Noida Onsite

Join Barco’s 24/7 IT SecOps function to protect global AV technology infrastructure. The role covers vulnerability management, incident response, compliance, cloud security, and security improvement initiatives.

Description

  • Support Barco’s 24/7 IT SecOps team as an escalation point for operational security matters
  • Monitor, investigate, and respond to alerts from the security operations center
  • Patch and protect IT systems using Linux and Microsoft guidance alongside patch management tools
  • Review vulnerability scan findings and remediate zero-day vulnerabilities
  • Establish system-hardening standards and automate hardening activities
  • Investigate and resolve malware infections, endpoint compromises, and critical security incidents
  • Work with regional IT teams during incidents and keep stakeholders informed
  • Maintain and improve runbooks, develop alert-suppression rules, and support threat-hunting activities
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and document incident reports
  • Lead or support global security initiatives, transformation programs, and large-scale improvement projects
  • Deploy SecOps technologies and automate operational processes
  • Work closely with Infrastructure, Cloud, Network, Applications, Compliance, and Audit teams
  • Improve security architecture and bring new security controls into operational use
  • Act as a technical subject-matter expert, mentor junior operations teams, and promote effective practices
  • Monitor and enforce global endpoint and server compliance, including disk encryption and security software deployment
  • Track, direct, and report security improvements across worldwide operations
  • Coordinate upgrades for operating systems and software approaching end of life
  • Report security posture gains, risks, and remediation progress
  • Assist with IT security and compliance audits
  • Conduct threat hunting and advanced investigations across cloud and infrastructure environments
  • Keep technical documentation, runbooks, and process guides current
  • Help global teams adhere to approved security procedures and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a comparable discipline
  • At least eight years of professional experience
  • Security certifications such as Security+, Linux+, SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, CEH, SSCP, GSEC, GCIH, or GCIA
  • Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Defender XDR, Defender for Cloud, Defender for Identity, Sentinel, EDR/XDR platforms, and SOC tools
  • Experience administering Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, multi-factor authentication, and O365
  • Experience using vulnerability and threat-management tools
  • Operating system experience across Red Hat, Fedora, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Adaptability to changing team priorities and participation in the standby rotation
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a 24/7 security operations environment
  • PowerShell, Python, or KQL scripting knowledge is an advantage
  • Basic networking knowledge and familiarity with corporate firewall technologies are desirable
