Senior IT Architecture Advisor – Montreal Hybrid

Lead solution architecture for complex initiatives across Desjardins Group’s financial services organization. Advise stakeholders on data, applications, security, infrastructure, and strategic technology decisions.

Description

  • Design IT solutions for large-scale projects and programs using Desjardins Group architecture targets and shared platforms
  • Align solutions with organizational structures, current and future needs, and existing architecture
  • Lead and influence stakeholders on innovative, complex strategic solution architecture initiatives
  • Recommend IT development and implementation strategies that comply with architecture targets
  • Create specialized deliverables for highly complex projects and initiatives
  • Advise on application solutions and operations architecture while integrating with delivery teams
  • Support stakeholders in planning, developing, executing, and monitoring strategic initiatives
  • Coordinate and provide guidance on technical matters requiring stakeholder consensus
  • Develop and maintain policies, standards, architecture targets, and supporting foundations
  • Assess potential IT solutions and issues, and report significant concerns
  • Set guidelines and provide recommendations to decision-making bodies and committees
  • Represent the unit before senior management committees and decision-making bodies
  • Represent and negotiate for Desjardins in agreements with external partners and organizations
  • Act as an expert advisor, subject matter expert, resource, and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
  • At least eight years of relevant professional experience
  • Equivalent combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Professional proficiency in French is required
  • Expertise spanning multiple IT domains, including data, applications, security, and infrastructure
