Senior Installation Engineer - Lisbon Onsite

Lead subsea installation engineering, offshore campaigns, and vessel operations for TechnipFMC projects in Lisbon. Deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective engineering support across project and offshore activities.

Description

  • Lead installation engineering across projects, tenders, and technical studies
  • Prepare installation methodologies, procedures, and supporting technical deliverables
  • Check engineering deliverables to confirm their quality, completeness, and accuracy
  • Contribute to constructability, readiness, risk, and design review processes
  • Provide engineering support for fabrication, testing, offshore operations, and vessel activities
  • Coordinate equipment readiness, vessel mobilization, and demobilization activities
  • Work with project teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Maintain compliance with HSE, quality, and operational requirements
  • Serve as Lead Offshore Engineer and technical point of contact during offshore campaigns
  • Oversee risk assessments, Management of Change activities, and project reporting
  • Advance continuous improvement and engineering standardization initiatives
  • Coach and support the development of junior engineers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
  • At least five years of experience in offshore installation engineering
  • Background working on multidisciplinary offshore projects
  • Strong understanding of subsea installation operations and vessel activities
  • Ability to independently oversee engineering work packages
  • Relevant offshore certification, such as BOSIET, where required
  • Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of SURF and SPS systems and offshore installation techniques
  • Familiarity with vessel operations and offshore execution
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and managing Management of Change processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of engineering standards and established industry practices
  • Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
  • Understanding of tendering, contractual, and commercial processes
