Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Hybrid)

Lead data center, network, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure for a regulated banking environment. Ensure secure, reliable systems through modernization, automation, troubleshooting, and recovery planning.

Description

  • Provide subject-matter expertise in data center technologies
  • Manage data center infrastructure, network support, and internal systems
  • Analyze business needs and lead documentation, design, development, testing, and solution selection for technology implementations
  • Design and support server systems and related software
  • Document technical business processes and information systems
  • Partner with business stakeholders, third-party processors, and support teams to align designs with organizational needs
  • Improve business process life cycles and coordinate related activities
  • Develop and maintain systems for mass application, update, and computer-image deployment and automation
  • Recommend data center, network, and systems improvements to strengthen efficiency, performance, and reliability
  • Evaluate and deploy new systems and upgrades
  • Troubleshoot and repair critical server and network infrastructure issues
  • Establish and implement backup and recovery policies
  • Maintain documentation for Active Directory components and the ITAM system of record
  • Lead systems and network implementations, including planning, scheduling, and coordination
  • Resolve escalations from junior system administrators
  • Support organizational goals and requests in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • Bring 5–7 years of systems administration experience with demonstrated expertise in virtualization, cloud, and networking technologies
  • Have 2–4 years of systems administration experience in a medium or large enterprise
  • Experience in financial services or another regulated sector is preferred, with 2–4 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux server systems
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of VMware and Citrix virtualization technologies
  • Bring advanced administration knowledge of Active Directory, Azure, and Office 365
  • Understand email administration and related configurations, including SMTP, DMARC, and SPF
  • Know vulnerability management principles and patching and remediation practices
  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of network protocols, topologies, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell and Bash is preferred
  • Work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of project or initiative components
  • Perform effectively under pressure while managing tight deadlines and unexpected changes
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or have an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
