Senior Go Backend Developer – Remote in Brazil

Senior Go developer responsible for building APIs, Kafka pipelines, and distributed services for Invillia platforms, with emphasis on scalability, observability, resilience, and security.

Description

  • Build, test, deploy, and maintain Go backend services optimized for performance, scalability, and resilience.
  • Create and improve RESTful APIs with well-defined contracts and Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
  • Develop and maintain high-throughput pipelines that consume Kafka events.
  • Help shape architecture and establish engineering practices across the service ecosystem.
  • Strengthen observability through structured logs, metrics, and distributed tracing.
  • Maintain production services with strong standards for quality, reliability, and security.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and design teams in an agile environment.
  • Advance the platform continuously by helping adopt relevant technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience developing complex backend services in production, ideally with Go.
  • Experience working with other compiled, strongly typed programming languages.
  • Practical knowledge of designing and evolving RESTful APIs, including validation, error handling, and Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
  • Experience with event-driven systems and Kafka-based messaging.
  • Ability to handle delayed, replayed, and out-of-order events.
  • Knowledge of relational or time-series databases, including modeling, migrations, and query optimization.
  • Experience implementing observability with DataDog, Grafana, Prometheus, or comparable tools.
  • Working knowledge of Docker and containerized environments.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
  • Background working on agile product development teams.
  • Experience using Redis or similar caching layers in performance-sensitive systems.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
  • Preferred: experience with distributed query engines for data lakes, including Trino or Presto.
  • Preferred: experience integrating LLM-based services such as AWS Bedrock.
  • Preferred: interest in architectural discussions and the platform’s ongoing technical development.
