Description

  • Lead engineering teams and projects
  • Partner with product teams to assess technical feasibility and break down user stories
  • Build and maintain web applications with Django and FastAPI
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs
  • Create scalable ETL and data-transformation workflows with Databricks or comparable platforms
  • Write efficient SQL and manage PostgreSQL schemas
  • Create and run unit tests while contributing to integration and end-to-end testing
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues across the technology stack
  • Maintain code quality through automated tests and peer reviews
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver features and business logic
  • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Mentor and support junior developers

Requirements

  • Senior full-stack developer with experience leading development teams
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, including comfort with live collaboration
  • Advanced Python proficiency
  • Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI
  • Hands-on experience developing REST APIs
  • Experience building data pipelines and ETL processes with tools such as Databricks
  • Proficiency with React and modern JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills, including schema design and query optimization
  • Advanced debugging and problem-solving ability
  • Experience with unit testing, test-driven development, and tools such as pytest
  • Familiarity with Git-based version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket
  • Familiarity with CI/CD build pipelines including GitHub Actions, GitLab, Bitbucket, or Azure DevOps
  • Familiarity with software ticketing systems or workflows such as Jira, Solar, or ServiceNow
  • Willingness to spend substantial onboarding time, and potentially ongoing time, in collaborative programming sessions
  • Experience using Redis for caching and queuing
  • Experience designing and integrating GraphQL APIs
  • Experience with Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with cloud services on Azure or AWS
  • Experience working with geospatial data and functions, including Geocoding APIs, H3, or PostGIS
  • Experience with observability tools such as Grafana and Datadog, including working from traces, logs, and metrics
