Senior Full-Stack Java Engineer in Athens (Hybrid)
Develop secure, enterprise-grade applications for PwC Greece as a senior full-stack Java engineer. Connect third-party systems while partnering with engineering and project teams.
Description
- Develop customized, enterprise-scale multi-tier applications
- Work closely with software engineers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, business analysts, and the project manager
- Create integrations with external applications and data sources
- Apply workflow, document management, content management, portal platforms, and associated frameworks
- Develop algorithms and produce technical documentation
- Strengthen client relationships while delivering high-quality solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT engineering, computer science, applied sciences, or a related field
- At least four years of professional software development experience with Java and J2EE technologies
- Practical experience with Java and frameworks including Servlets, JDBC, EJBs, JPA, Hibernate, and Spring
- Working knowledge of JSP, JSF, React, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS
- Database expertise with SQL and experience using Oracle DB, MSSQL, DB2, or MySQL
- Understanding of client-server architecture and SOAP or REST web services
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or SVN/Git, project and task management tools such as Jira, and Maven
- Strong analytical ability for designing algorithms and preparing technical documentation
- Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and meet demanding deadlines
- Clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication in both English and Greek
- Consistent focus on high-quality delivery and positive client relationships
