Senior Full-Stack Developer (Java/React) at Payplug, Hybrid France

Description

  • Plan, build, and document new features collaboratively from Product Manager specifications.
  • Develop across the full stack, with a primary focus on Java backend services and React frontend applications.
  • Help evolve the application architecture to strengthen platform resilience and scalability.
  • Explore technical options through investigation and prototyping, and contribute constructively to team decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement through better tooling, automation, technology monitoring, and technical debt reduction.
  • Protect code quality and security through clean coding practices, testing, security controls, peer reviews, and defect resolution.
  • Take an active role in Agile refinement, planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Document technical work and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Work with the APICulteurs squad on payment systems in a high-availability environment subject to PCI DSS security requirements.

Requirements

  • Bring at least five years of full-stack software development experience.
  • Be proficient in Java and React/TypeScript, covering at least the two core technologies in the stack.
  • Show curiosity and a willingness to learn Python and take ownership of related work.
  • Prioritize code quality, maintainability, and testability in day-to-day development.
  • Balance technical debt against product priorities using pragmatic judgment.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and conversation with a practical, solution-focused approach.
  • Experience with distributed systems, mature CI/CD practices, or data and migration work is highly valued.
