Senior Front-End Engineer at Striveworks (Hybrid, Texas)

Build dependable React experiences for Striveworks’ AI and machine learning operations platform. Partner with cross-functional engineering and product teams to make advanced AI capabilities practical and accessible.

Description

  • Help advance Striveworks’ AI and machine learning operations platform
  • Translate user and technical needs into intuitive, dependable, maintainable interfaces
  • Work with data scientists, product designers, software engineers, and DevOps engineers
  • Create production web applications and connect them to REST APIs and GraphQL services
  • Build and support front-end experiences with React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript, Next.js, Vite, and component libraries
  • Develop automated and unit tests with tools such as Playwright and Jest
  • Build and deploy applications through cloud-based services
  • Incorporate AI development tools, including LLMs and code agents, into engineering workflows
  • Uphold strong code-quality standards and deliver focused, clearly scoped changes
  • Travel occasionally, up to 10% of the time

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline plus at least six years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent experience
  • Strong command of UI/UX principles, design patterns, responsive design, and modern CSS
  • Demonstrated success delivering production web applications with React
  • Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript
  • Experience connecting applications to REST APIs, with familiarity with GraphQL
  • Familiarity with current front-end frameworks and tools, including Next.js and Vite
  • Experience with automated and unit testing frameworks such as Playwright and Jest
  • Experience building and deploying software with cloud-based services
  • Expertise with component libraries and design systems such as Material UI
  • Working knowledge of distributed version control systems such as Git
  • Experience incorporating AI development tools, including LLMs and code agents, into everyday engineering work
  • Track record of maintaining high code-quality standards for agentic work and making concise, well-scoped changes
  • Effective collaboration skills with product designers, software engineers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders
  • US citizenship and eligibility and willingness to obtain a Secret US security clearance
