Senior Freelance TYPO3 and WordPress Web Developer
Deliver freelance TYPO3 and WordPress development for zahneins, supporting dental practice websites, landing pages, integrations, and performance improvements across its digital platform.
Description
- Handle marketing tickets covering content, buttons, links, layouts, and related website updates
- Build landing pages, pop-ups, and campaign banners from supplied designs or your own creative direction
- Connect external tools, including appointment booking systems, social feeds, and online forms
- Diagnose and fix rendering problems across desktop and mobile devices
- Maintain and extend WordPress properties, including the zahneins Campus website
- Assume responsibility over time, by mutual agreement, for TYPO3 updates, extension upkeep, and further development
- Work with the SEO specialist on changes involving rankings, URLs, and tracking
- Keep dental practice and corporate websites dependable, polished, and visually consistent
- Support digital properties across more than 80 locations, including appointment booking and candidate acquisition functionality
- Follow ticket-based delivery processes with Git branches, merge requests, reviews, and controlled deployments
Requirements
- Strong written German communication skills
- Several years of TYPO3 development experience, preferably with TYPO3 12 or 13, Fluid, TypoScript, and Content Blocks
- Practical experience with TYPO3 multisite setups and Site Configurations
- Working knowledge of PHP 8.x, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript
- Experience connecting external services and interfaces, including booking widgets, XML or JSON feeds, and REST APIs
- Strong WordPress capabilities, including theme adaptation and plugin development
- A mobile-first approach and disciplined responsive design practices
- Ability to reproduce Figma or PDF layouts accurately in code
- Careful testing habits across a range of devices and browsers
- Use of semantic HTML with structured headings, meaningful alt text, and descriptive link labels
- Experience implementing external widgets asynchronously and in compliance with consent requirements
- Proficiency with Git, branching, merge requests, Composer, and Docker-based development
- Familiarity with Lighthouse, PageSpeed, and Core Web Vitals, including LCP, CLS, and INP
- Experience with responsive image delivery using srcset, WebP or AVIF, and purposeful lazy loading
- Follow PSR-12 and TYPO3 Coding Guidelines
- Able to respond to new tickets within one business day
- Able to resolve critical issues on the same day whenever practicable
- Provide TYPO3 project references or links, your preferred hourly rate, and weekly availability
