Senior Firmware Engineer — Hybrid in Gdańsk, Poland

Lead the development of secure embedded firmware for connected building-security systems. Drive cybersecurity, RTOS, architecture, and certification work across global product teams.

Description

  • Create the next generation of professional security systems for buildings and businesses worldwide
  • Embed modern cybersecurity capabilities in connected devices
  • Strengthen secure firmware update and bootloader functionality
  • Improve embedded-system performance and efficiency
  • Develop shared product platforms for multiple devices
  • Address real-time engineering challenges in RTOS environments
  • Develop and integrate APIs
  • Guide architecture decisions for critical firmware components
  • Shape hardware design, communication protocols, and cybersecurity implementation across product lines
  • Define integration logic for Everon product-family devices compliant with EN50131 Grade 3
  • Maintain solution quality through QA collaboration, debugging, and defect resolution
  • Support verification, validation, certification, and manufacturing activities
  • Partner with Product Management, Hardware, Compliance, and Cybersecurity teams
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and internal engineering guidelines
  • Coordinate with engineering teams across time zones to support consistent implementation and knowledge sharing

Requirements

  • Strong professional experience with Embedded C
  • Background in cybersecurity
  • Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers
  • Knowledge of RTOS and bare-metal development
  • Experience diagnosing and debugging embedded systems
  • Fluent English communication skills
  • Experience with secure boot or secure firmware updates
  • Experience with RF or sub-GHz systems
  • Experience with EN50131 standards or the security industry
  • Experience with dual-core processors, Linux, SWD/JTAG, RS485, Ethernet, GSM, cryptography, and embedded CI/CD
