Senior Financial Analyst, Distribution and Sales – USAA (Hybrid)

Lead forecasting, financial modeling, profitability analysis, and decision support for USAA’s Distribution and Sales function. Guide teams and business leaders while supporting risk management and compliance.

Description

  • Own financial forecasts and planning deliverables for an assigned business area or function
  • Coach team members and oversee forecasting processes and model enhancements
  • Develop complex financial reports, analyses, and cost-benefit evaluations while guiding the team’s work
  • Supply insights that support decisions by internal and external management
  • Assess complex financial information and recommend practical solutions to business leaders
  • Provide customers and business partners with high-value decision support
  • Lead product assignments, pricing reviews, profitability analysis, and ad hoc financial studies
  • Deliver forward-looking analysis to improve decisions and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with senior managers and company leaders
  • Support team development while encouraging innovation and productivity
  • Apply advanced understanding of business operations, products, and processes
  • Act as a subject-matter resource for escalated issues
  • Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risks in line with applicable risk and compliance policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline, or four years of relevant education and/or experience
  • Six years of complex financial or accounting analysis experience with actionable stakeholder insights, or an advanced degree, progress toward CPA or CFA certification, and four years of related experience
  • Hands-on experience with financial or accounting technologies
  • Ability to explain essential financial and accounting concepts clearly
  • Financial or accounting experience in financial services
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Excel for substantial financial data analysis
  • Experience applying and following financial regulations and compliance requirements
  • Background preparing financial reports and developing data-based recommendations
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Must not require current or future immigration assistance or visa sponsorship
  • Financial Analyst experience in the property and casualty insurance sector
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, and Snowflake; VSCode experience is a plus
