Senior Electrical Engineering Specialist - Fort Wayne Onsite

Senior electrical engineering specialist responsible for cable architectures and interconnects supporting L3Harris space-based sensing systems. The role covers signal integrity, EMI, power-circuit analysis, and technical guidance for cable design teams.

Description

  • Support electrical engineering activities that maintain large-system cable architectures across multiple customer-funded programs.
  • Lead system-level cable architecture design.
  • Maintain interconnect diagrams for system and lower-level specifications.
  • Define interconnect hardware.
  • Own reviews of all cable drawings.
  • Design cable architectures for systems and subsystems.
  • Create and maintain interconnect diagrams and drawings.
  • Establish and maintain interconnect specifications and requirements.
  • Assess EMI, signal integrity, and IR-drop effects on cable signals.
  • Provide signal integrity expertise and direction to the design team.
  • Evaluate and select materials and components suited to the design environment.
  • Lead and direct cable design teams.
  • Conduct worst-case analyses for power and analog circuits.
  • Participate in and contribute to technical reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and at least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Graduate degree in engineering and at least 8 years of related experience.
  • At least 10 years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Experience working with schematics.
  • Experience with root cause corrective action.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Preferred: Experience with schematic entry, simulation, and analysis of power, analog, and digital circuits.
  • Preferred: Experience writing performance specifications.
  • Preferred: Experience designing for a space environment.
  • Preferred: Experience using SPICE, MathCAD, MATLAB, Simulink, Allegro, and Mentor Graphics tools.
  • Preferred: Experience leading teams and project designs.
