Senior Edge Device Management Engineer – Azure IoT

Manage and secure edge devices supporting YASH Technologies’ oil-field IoT operations. Oversee monitoring, troubleshooting, data movement, and reliability for 24/7 industrial infrastructure.

Description

  • Deploy, configure, monitor, and maintain edge computing devices at oil-field sites
  • Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for connectivity, firmware, and data-integrity issues
  • Work rotational shifts to support continuous 24/7 operations
  • Implement and administer real-time monitoring, diagnostics, and alerting tools for edge devices
  • Verify device compliance with cybersecurity standards and applicable industry regulations
  • Partner with data engineering teams to support efficient edge-to-cloud data ingestion
  • Keep accurate records of device configurations, incidents, and performance measures
  • Coordinate with field engineers, IT, and IoT platform teams to maintain reliable operations
  • Support oil-field IoT services and improve infrastructure deployed in the field

Requirements

  • At least five years of professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics, or a related discipline
  • At least five years of experience managing edge devices, ideally in industrial or oil-and-gas settings
  • Strong knowledge of IoT protocols such as MQTT, OPC-UA, and Modbus, along with edge platforms and remote device-management tools
  • Experience with Linux-based edge devices, Docker containerization, and Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud integration
  • Understanding of cybersecurity practices for industrial IoT environments
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation abilities
  • Experience working with SCADA systems and industrial automation
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance and condition-monitoring practices
  • Preferred skill: Cisco networking certification, including CCAN or CCNP
  • Preferred skill: Linux expertise supported by Red Hat certification
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies
