Description

  • Design, build, and operate AWS infrastructure supporting production workloads on Amazon EKS and ECS/Fargate.
  • Manage infrastructure initiatives from design and testing through deployment, rollback planning, documentation, and operational handoff.
  • Create infrastructure as code, deployment automation, and reusable platform capabilities with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Argo CD.
  • Maintain deployment pipelines and automation while partnering with Development on modernization, scaling, validation, production readiness, and rollback processes.
  • Investigate infrastructure and application problems involving operating systems, networking, containers, application runtimes, and database dependencies.
  • Enhance monitoring, performance, and cost efficiency; coordinate security controls with Information Security; manage upgrades and patching; and validate backup recovery and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Help define technical standards, participate in design reviews, mentor engineers, and collaborate with management on risk and improvement priorities.
  • Join the on-call rotation, lead incident investigations, and perform scheduled maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively during incidents and reduce repeat problems through follow-up actions, automation, and operational runbooks.

Requirements

  • Bring substantial infrastructure and DevOps experience, generally including eight or more years in infrastructure and five or more years in automation-focused roles, or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
  • Demonstrate strong hands-on Kubernetes experience in production, including upgrades, networking, access controls, scaling, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Amazon EKS is strongly preferred.
  • Have strong AWS expertise across networking, IAM, compute, storage, load balancing, and managed databases.
  • Use Terraform, containers, Helm, and Git-based deployment workflows in practice, including building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or comparable tools.
  • Possess strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills, including DNS, HTTP/TLS, and system performance.
  • Apply practical networking and troubleshooting expertise covering routing, firewalls, and secure connectivity such as site-to-site VPNs or SSH tunnels.
  • Write maintainable automation in Python, Go, PowerShell, or another suitable language, together with shell scripting.
  • Diagnose application and database problems with metrics, logs, traces, and monitoring tools.
  • Independently deliver complex work, make safe production changes, and communicate technical decisions across teams.
  • Hold a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience.
