Senior DevOps Engineer, Observability — Latin America Remote

Build AWS infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and observability systems for NetBox Labs’ SaaS and open-source network automation products. Help operate reliable platforms through monitoring, security, incident response, and developer enablement.

Description

  • Build and maintain infrastructure for NetBox Labs’ SaaS and on-premise engineering environments
  • Operate and optimize AWS and other cloud platforms for cost efficiency, security, and performance
  • Develop internal platform tools, GitHub Actions CI/CD automation, and self-service capabilities for developers
  • Improve observability and incident response through monitoring, alerting, and service-level objectives
  • Partner with stream-aligned product teams to understand their requirements and advance internal platforms
  • Strengthen security and compliance practices, including SOC 2 controls
  • Maintain documentation, onboarding resources, and internal support processes
  • Take part in the on-call rotation

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering
  • At least two years of experience at a B2B software startup
  • Strong AWS experience, including EC2, VPC, IAM, and RDS, with particular depth in EKS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines and working with automation tools, preferably GitHub Actions
  • Working knowledge of observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Mimir, and Loki
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or shell scripting
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment
  • Strong communication and technical documentation skills
  • Experience with Change Data Capture and event streaming systems, or with scaling large multi-tenant observability systems for ingestion, analysis, and alerting
  • Experience with MQTT, AMQP, and other messaging technologies
  • Familiarity with the NetBox ecosystem or network automation tools
  • Experience contributing to or working with open-source projects
  • Experience using AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or Cursor
