Senior Developer, Developer Acceleration (Canada Remote)

Build agentic AI tools and shared infrastructure that improve software delivery across Jane.app’s engineering organization. Help teams adopt safer, more effective developer acceleration workflows.

Description

  • Create tools and shared infrastructure that help Jane.app developers work more efficiently
  • Develop the agentic context and harness that support the monolith
  • Build secure plugins, skills, and environments for agent-assisted development
  • Track adoption and measure the results of developer acceleration initiatives
  • Develop cloud platform systems for running agents, distributing skills, and managing context
  • Work with product teams to identify workflow bottlenecks, including CI noise, oversized pull requests, review delays, and repeated change requests
  • Convert workflow insights into scalable tools that reduce friction across engineering teams
  • Increase the proportion of pull requests authored, landed, and merged by agents
  • Share context, risks, and progress proactively through distributed team channels

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience designing systems used by other developers
  • Daily practical experience building with agentic AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable tools throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Experience assigning meaningful development work to agents, from writing specifications and executing multi-file changes to critically reviewing results
  • A record of delivering production-grade systems, frequently from the ground up
  • Familiarity with large, long-lived codebases maintained by multiple teams
  • Understanding of how to provide LLMs with effective context in large codebases
  • Strong interest in developer experience and engineering productivity
  • Experience documenting tools, teaching others, and supporting developer adoption
  • Experience with evaluations, prompt or context engineering, or safety guardrails for autonomous agents is advantageous but not required
  • Experience in observability and quality is advantageous but not required
  • Proficiency with TypeScript
  • Ruby on Rails experience is beneficial but not required
  • Currently residing in Canada
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without employer sponsorship
  • Relocation, visa sponsorship, and third-party or employer-of-record employment are not supported by Jane
