Senior Data Engineer, Snowflake & Azure — EY, Noida

Description
- Build and implement Snowflake-based data solutions, warehouses, and lakes
- Analyze query performance with Query Profile and apply knowledge of Snowflake cache architecture
- Create data integration solutions that ingest information from diverse sources
- Use Snowflake Streams and Tasks, Snowpipe, Azure Data Factory, or other ETL tools to automate ingestion
- Design and develop Snowflake ETL workflows using appropriate integration solutions
- Write advanced SQL, stored procedures, views, triggers, cursors, and user-defined functions
- Develop, maintain, and improve databases, stored procedures, ETL packages, and SQL queries
- Apply services and capabilities from the Azure data platform
- Work with application developers to assess system changes and their effects on SQL databases
- Shape data solutions for business needs alongside project managers, senior colleagues, and clients
- Present program strategies and plans to senior IT leaders and negotiate effective quality solutions
- Support solution architecture, application development, testing, and maintenance for the global Tax service line
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to contribute independently as an individual contributor
- At least five years of combined experience with Snowflake and Azure SQL or SQL Server, including database development, design, and data modeling
- Experience with Snowpipe, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or comparable ETL tools
- Working knowledge of Python for automation and scripting
- Power BI experience is beneficial but not required
