Senior Data Architect - Adobe Experience Platform (Remote, United States)

Lead enterprise modernization from legacy Adobe environments to Adobe Experience Platform across Analytics, Content, and Commerce. Design data models, ingestion pipelines, governance frameworks, and migration strategies that support real-time customer activation.

Description

  • Lead enterprise product modernization programs that move legacy Adobe solutions to modern Analytics, Content, and Commerce platforms
  • Build and operationalize end-to-end data foundations spanning strategy, modeling, integration, and governance
  • Assess customer systems and business processes to support structured data discovery
  • Integrate CRM, sales, analytics, call center, content, commerce, and other sources for digital marketing, content, and commerce use cases
  • Own conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling for multi-solution implementations
  • Establish data quality, master data management, data services, governance, security, privacy, and compliance practices
  • Partner with customers, Adobe specialists, data engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to clarify needs and overcome technical challenges
  • Deliver Adobe data lakes and real-time customer profiles for data ingestion and activation
  • Automate implementation and environment setup with REST APIs, Postman, and scripting
  • Create streaming, batch, online, and offline ingestion solutions in Adobe Experience Platform
  • Collaborate on ETL and ELT pipelines for data collection and extraction
  • Optimize data models and query performance within platform guardrails
  • Lead complete data migration programs while protecting data quality, integrity, and compliance
  • Review existing Adobe implementations to uncover technical debt, governance deficiencies, and data quality problems
  • Evaluate platform maturity, taxonomy alignment, metadata tagging, standards adherence, and commerce product-data enrichment
  • Translate legacy infrastructure into AEP schemas and CJA data views, deciding what to migrate, transform, or redesign
  • Design AEP data models for Analytics, Content, and Commerce use cases
  • Create relational and dimensional analytics models across RDBMS, columnar, warehouse, and data lake environments
  • Support modernization migrations while retaining metric definitions, historical accuracy, content governance, and commerce data integrity
  • Produce validation and reconciliation documentation comparing legacy and modern platforms

Requirements

  • At least eight years of hands-on experience in data architecture, data modeling, SQL development, and analytics platforms for enterprise customers
  • Expertise in customer-focused database and dataset modeling across relational, hierarchical, RDBMS, columnar, warehouse, BI, document, semantic-layer, data lake, OLTP, and OLAP environments
  • Experience auditing, evaluating, and documenting implementation data components
  • Ability to convert complex data configurations and models into business requirements and technical documentation
  • Advanced SQL capability, including window functions, complex joins, aggregations, stored procedures, and query tuning
  • Practical Adobe Experience Platform experience covering ingestion, schema design, unified profiles, segmentation, real-time activation, and native AI tools
  • Working knowledge of identity resolution, data privacy frameworks, and consent management
  • Proficiency with REST, webhooks, Postman, and basic Python or Bash scripting
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with effective organizational skills
  • Ability to manage concurrent customer engagements and explain architectures and migration strategies to executive and technical audiences
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical discipline; equivalent senior data architecture experience may be considered
  • Adobe Certified Expert credential in CJA or AEP Data Architect is preferred
  • Adobe Certified Associate credential in Real-Time Customer Data Platform or Analytics is preferred
  • Experience with AEP Content or Commerce, the Adobe Analytics API, Analytics-to-CJA migrations, Git, and CI/CD is preferred
