Use SQL, Tableau, and ETL to generate insights for Walmart. Support Operations, Finance, Product, and supply chain decisions through reliable analysis.

Description

  • Analyze large, complex datasets from disparate sources
  • Perform ad hoc analyses that guide important business decisions
  • Build ETL workflows that consolidate data from multiple sources into centralized tables
  • Create visualizations to track and quantify the effects of changes and address distinctive business challenges
  • Collaborate periodically with colleagues and cross-functional partners
  • Build trust and credibility with stakeholders
  • Assess stakeholder needs and provide relevant information
  • Work with Operations, Finance, and Product teams to improve data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across operations and systems
  • Provide high-quality insights to support decisions across multiple business areas
  • Find and acquire relevant data, maintain its quality, and use advanced analytical methods
  • Present findings through clear visualizations and effective stakeholder communication
  • Work within established data governance policies and strategic frameworks

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance, or a related field plus 2 years of experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or a related area; or
  • Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or
  • Four years of experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or a related area
  • Advanced SQL skills, including manipulating data across multiple tables while preserving data integrity, with 4–6 years of experience
  • Creative approach and user experience knowledge for building effective Tableau dashboards, with 2–3 years of experience
  • Understanding of business operations and the ability to identify the root cause of business problems
  • Supply chain experience, preferably involving last-mile or parcel delivery
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions
