Senior Data Analyst at Jane.app — Canada Remote

Build reliable financial metrics, dbt models, and Looker dashboards for Jane.app’s clinic-management SaaS platform. Work with Finance and Payments to support high-impact business decisions.

Description

  • Collaborate with Finance and Payments to create, improve, and maintain reporting metrics, data models, and dashboards.
  • Lead analyses from initial business questions through SQL and dbt modeling, Looker development, and insight communication.
  • Create and enhance Looker dashboards covering financial planning, revenue, costs, and transaction-level activity.
  • Maintain and improve Jane.app’s core financial data models in dbt.
  • Investigate data-quality problems and verify analytical calculations.
  • Provide reconciled, dependable datasets for Finance and Payments teams.
  • Convert unclear business requests into well-defined technical approaches.
  • Use sound practices for data modeling, documentation, quality assurance, and performance optimization.
  • Coordinate with Product, Support, and Marketing when their work involves financial data.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience as a Data Analyst or BI Analyst in a high-growth or complex product setting.
  • Practical expertise with SQL, dbt, and Looker.
  • Ability to write advanced queries, structure data models, and develop useful dashboards.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts and financial reasoning to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven initiative and ownership, with the ability to work independently and carry projects through delivery.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in reconciliation, financial logic, metric definitions, and quality assurance.
  • Experience partnering with Finance functions such as FP&A, Accounting, Payments, or Revenue Operations.
  • Experience using GitHub or other version-control systems.
  • Current residence in Canada.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
  • No relocation, visa sponsorship, or third-party employment support is available.
