Senior Corporate Risk Analyst - California Remote

Lead corporate insurance programs, claims analysis, contract reviews, and renewal strategy in a senior risk management role. Apply data analysis, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration to support corporate risk operations.

Description

  • Assess existing exposures and prepare renewal specifications for insurance marketing
  • Track and proactively resolve year-over-year changes in underwriting data, general data calculations, and claim values
  • Partner with Claim Managers on claims administration, claim reviews, and related communications
  • Provide guidance on the total cost of risk across insurance premiums and claims
  • Evaluate insurance renewals, marketing outcomes, and renewal strategies
  • Coordinate with Claims Managers, Legal, and Business teams to support timely handling of DOI matters and subpoenas
  • Review and negotiate client contracts, RFPs, and vendor selections
  • Evaluate financial statements
  • Work with internal departments, business leaders, brokers, and underwriters
  • Recognize issues and develop proactive solutions
  • Deliver training and instruction to team members when needed
  • Maintain ongoing collaboration with internal claim managers, business associates, brokers, outside counsel, and third parties
  • Support the Corporate Risk Management Department's technical and operational activities
  • Manage large corporate insurance programs, including budgets, policy summaries, coverage-language comparisons, and other assigned responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a comparable combination of education and experience
  • At least three years of experience working with corporate departments, clients, attorneys, and insurance carriers
  • At least five years of experience in insurance procurement, placement, or insurance risk management
  • At least five years of experience in property and casualty insurance, employee benefits, and/or agency operations
  • At least three years of experience using claims management software or managing databases
  • Experience with Corporate Risk Management Information System (RMIS) data standards, system design, reporting, and data integrity
  • Property and casualty insurance licenses, Associate in Risk Management certification, or Certified Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation
  • Ability to contribute effectively to a team and promote teamwork
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities
  • Proactive planning, organization, and time management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and sound problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of insurance policy language and its meaning for accurate comparison and analysis
  • Strong self-management and persistence across renewals, projects, and initiatives
