Senior Controller, Global Close and Consolidation

Intel seeks a senior controller to lead global financial close, consolidation, and management reporting. The role covers SEC reporting, cash-flow analysis, process transformation, and leadership of teams supporting semiconductor operations.

Description

  • Lead and develop global teams responsible for financial close, consolidation, management reporting, balance sheet analysis, cash-flow reporting, and related financial analysis
  • Direct monthly and quarterly consolidated close cycles, ensuring deliverables are accurate and completed on schedule
  • Oversee the consolidation of financial results and maintain the integrity of consolidated financial statements
  • Manage quarterly reporting for executives, including results analysis, variance explanations, reporting packages, and management commentary
  • Oversee preparation and analysis of the consolidated statement of cash flows
  • Convert financial results and business drivers into actionable insights for senior leaders
  • Work with Finance stakeholders to address close, consolidation, and reporting issues, dependencies, and risks
  • Coordinate with External Reporting on Forms 10-Q and 10-K, including financial statement analysis and disclosure data
  • Partner with Corporate Planning, Revenue Accounting, Treasury Accounting, Tax, Investor Relations, the CFO Office, and other stakeholders
  • Respond to external auditor requests
  • Coordinate with IT on system impacts, issue resolution, and communication of stakeholder risks
  • Set performance metrics and reinforce accountability for close, consolidation, and reporting deliverables
  • Lead initiatives to improve and transform processes
  • Deploy automation, technology, and AI-enabled solutions
  • Benchmark operating practices and continually enhance processes, controls, and reporting outputs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline
  • At least 10 years of progressive corporate accounting or financial reporting experience, or at least 8 years with a master’s degree
  • At least 5 years leading, coaching, and developing direct or global teams
  • CPA certification
  • Public accounting experience
  • Experience leading or overseeing financial close, global consolidation, and management reporting activities
  • Experience preparing or reviewing management reports, financial statement analyses, and cash-flow reports
  • Experience supporting SEC reporting, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Clear communication skills with senior leaders, cross-functional partners, and global teams, including the ability to turn complex financial information into actionable insights
  • Ability to build partnerships, influence across functions, and promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Experience with ERP, consolidation, and reporting platforms such as SAP, S/4HANA, Workiva, or comparable systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • This role is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship
