Description
- Design scalable, secure, resilient, and highly available cloud and data architectures
- Assess cloud technologies for emerging platform capabilities and services
- Act as a PostgreSQL and Oracle database architecture expert
- Architect highly available database systems with replication, clustering, and geographic distribution
- Develop prototypes, proof-of-concept work, and reference implementations to test scalability and security
- Turn validated prototypes into reusable architecture patterns and production-ready designs
- Combine system design with engineer coaching, requirements clarification, and delivery
- Coordinate architecture decisions with product and SRE partners
- Set technical direction while contributing through hands-on development
Requirements
- Bring 12 years of relevant experience
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, MIS, or a related field, or have equivalent qualifications
- Build reusable infrastructure with Terraform modules, templates, and deployment patterns
- Write scripts and automation in Python, Go, Bash, or comparable languages
- Know relational and NoSQL databases deeply, including PostgreSQL, Oracle Database, and MongoDB
- Have practical experience with Redis and Valkey
- Understand distributed data systems built for horizontal scaling and high availability
