Senior Business Intelligence Data Analyst – United States Remote

Senior Data Analyst responsible for Sigma dashboards, Snowflake analytics, and SQL-based reporting at Magna Legal Services. The role advances data quality, reporting standards, and business intelligence capabilities across the organization.

Description

  • Partner with business and service-line stakeholders to define objectives, capture analytics needs, and turn requirements into actionable data solutions.
  • Build, maintain, and improve Sigma dashboards and reports that provide clear insights to organizational leaders and teams.
  • Use SQL to query, transform, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources, including Snowflake.
  • Examine complex datasets to uncover trends, performance drivers, opportunities, and risk areas.
  • Establish best practices for reporting, data governance, metric definitions, documentation, and data integrity.
  • Scale business intelligence assets and reporting workflows through simplification, standardization, and automation.
  • Collaborate with data and technology teams on data modeling, warehouse development, and Snowflake enhancements.
  • Assess analytics tools, processes, and capabilities, then recommend improvements to BI effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Contribute to the continued development of the organization’s analytics capabilities.
  • Lead the ongoing development of Sigma dashboards and reporting while strengthening standards, data quality, and analytics infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, information systems, business analytics, or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or a comparable field.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including experience querying and analyzing large datasets.
  • Experience creating sophisticated dashboards and reporting solutions in Sigma or a comparable modern BI platform.
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses; Snowflake experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with skill in converting business questions into useful analysis and recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical concepts and findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to gather requirements, balance competing priorities, and independently lead analytics initiatives from planning through delivery.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT, data governance, and visualization best practices is preferred.
  • Collaborative and proactive working style, with comfort operating independently in a fast-paced environment.
