Senior Accountant - Philippines Remote
Lead reconciliations, month-end close, royalty accounting, and financial reporting for Hireframe’s remote global operations. The role supports accurate accounting across consumer products, eCommerce, and retail activities.
Description
- Manage reconciliations for high-volume and high-value accounts, including accrued sales tax, bank clearing accounts, inventory purchases, and prepaid expenses
- Reconcile daily cash flow reports and monthly bank statements
- Process and monitor chargebacks and outstanding uncashed checks
- Import credit card transactions and complete month-end reconciliations
- Create, document, and implement stronger reconciliation procedures and policies
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements
- Prepare audit documentation and explain supporting financial information
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries for accruals, prepaids, amortization, and reclassifications
- Compile supporting data for sales tax and VAT filings and reconcile related accounts
- Partner with Operations and Sales to provide financial data and maintain reporting accuracy
- Contribute to special projects and ad hoc reporting requests
- Manage royalty calculations and reporting across multiple licensing contracts
- Reconcile marketing expenses and work with Marketing to calculate cost per acquisition
- Confirm revenue is recorded for Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Seller Central, and multiple retail accounts
- Work with the retail team to maintain accurate invoicing and oversee accounts receivable collections
- Evaluate financial data and prepare management reports with the Finance team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- CPA qualification is preferred
- Public accounting experience is advantageous
- Proficiency with ERP accounting software; NetSuite experience is a plus
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, and large-data processing
- Excellent communication skills
- Interest in health and wellness, personal care, or eCommerce
- Significant consumer products industry experience is highly preferred
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- Resourceful, innovative, and able to act with urgency when ideal resources are unavailable
