Senior Accountant - Maryville, TN (On-site)

Lead IFRS reporting, controls, inventory reconciliation, audits, and accounting operations for a manufacturing business. Support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic decision-making.

Description

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS financial statements for the section
  • Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Coordinate with Corporate Accounting to fulfill external auditor requests during the annual audit
  • Analyze and help review SBU Investment Committee applications
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Lead internal control audits
  • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of accounting systems and software
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable for accurate, timely processing
  • Review and approve accounting batches
  • Provide financial analysis and insights for business decisions and strategic planning
  • Help prepare budgets and forecasts, monitor variances, and explain significant differences
  • Validate, update, and manage retroactive pricing with customers and suppliers
  • Lead monthly inventory-count reconciliations to verify reported inventory balances
  • Record required adjustments arising from inventory counts
  • Mentor and support junior accounting team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • At least five years of progressively complex accounting experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Willingness to travel 20% to 30%
