Segment Marketing Manager - Kansas City Hybrid

Lead audience-focused marketing strategy for UMB Bank’s financial-services segments. Oversee campaigns, KPIs, budgets, and cross-functional execution in a hybrid Kansas City role.

Description

  • Create marketing strategies and tactics that support business-line objectives
  • Help Marketing, Communications, and partner teams understand audience behavior
  • Coordinate marketing-plan deliverables across channels and collaborating teams
  • Find strategic opportunities to strengthen market value through measurable KPIs
  • Direct strategy and campaign execution with internal teams and external vendors
  • Prepare creative briefs covering objectives, audiences, key messages, wireframes, outlines, and content guidance
  • Support the planning and development of new or enhanced products, platforms, and delivery channels
  • Establish, monitor, analyze, and evaluate KPIs for marketing programs
  • Translate performance results into insights that improve marketing strategies and recommendations
  • Support budget planning and manage marketing work within approved budgets
  • Advise market leadership on marketing needs for assigned segments
  • Engage key leaders and stakeholders in a consultative capacity
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bring 8–10 years of progressively increasing marketing responsibility
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or have an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Financial-services experience is preferred
  • Salesforce experience is preferred
  • Use Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, proficiently
  • Have experience managing projects
  • Demonstrate strategic planning experience
  • Use KPIs to support strategic decisions and recommendations
  • Track and assess competitor activity
  • Understand segmentation and apply it to marketing planning
  • Have experience across multiple marketing distribution channels
  • Work effectively in matrix organizations and lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Demonstrate strong editing, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Be highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks
