Description
- Manage claims from first report through final resolution
- Verify and organize claim records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Monitor active claims, pursue pending actions, and help bring cases to closure
- Coordinate status updates and documentation with brokers, adjusters, operations, legal teams, and claimants
- Support investigations by collecting information and contributing to resolution activities
- Monitor reserves, payments, invoices, recovery possibilities, claim progress, and important deadlines
- Keep claims databases, logs, reports, and related records accurate and current
- Advise operations teams on claims issues and help them navigate the process
- Act as the central claims contact to promote prompt and effective resolutions
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- One to two years of commercial insurance experience is required
- Experience handling claims or performing related work is preferred
- Works cooperatively with others in a fast-moving environment
- Adjusts effectively to changing circumstances and conditions
- Shows initiative, drive, and willingness to take on additional effort
- Communicates clearly in writing and verbally and maintains strong organizational skills
- Can manage competing claims, deadlines, and requests by setting priorities
- Uses problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical abilities
- Handles confidential claim information discreetly and professionally
- Must meet background-screening and drug-free workplace requirements
- May need to complete a post-offer physical examination and site-specific background check
