Remote Accounts Receivable Analyst

Process insurance payments, reconcile bank and system records, and manage aged receivables for Brown & Brown Insurance. Partner with account managers and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies and support accurate financial transactions.

Description

  • Investigate and correct transaction discrepancies before funds are applied.
  • Coordinate with accounting teams and field offices to support receivables operations and resolve payment issues.
  • Resolve operating and trust account exceptions while maintaining complete documentation.
  • Work with Account Managers to identify payments and apply them to the correct accounts.
  • Reconcile bank payments with amounts recorded in the system each day.
  • Compile supporting documentation and submit it to the Supervisor for review.
  • Process finance agreements for funding in line with established procedures.
  • Manage portal tickets, inquiries, and related issues.
  • Coordinate interoffice bank transfers with required documentation and compliance controls.
  • Review and resolve payments in the "Claim this Client" system.
  • Track aged receivables and address outstanding balances and issues.
  • Provide coverage during periods of high workload or staff absence.
  • Support additional projects assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in insurance accounting is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in accounts receivable or a related financial analysis role.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong customer service skills and experience.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability to process changes and a willingness to learn.
