Product Development Data Analyst – Client Reporting

Develop client-facing reports and business intelligence visualizations for State Street’s investment-services clients. Use SQL, data warehousing, and reporting platforms to address complex global data requirements.

Description

  • Build reports with IRD and create visualizations in Manage Card Designer (MCD)
  • Evaluate large datasets and support data modeling and data mart design
  • Deliver reporting and visualization solutions with BI platforms including Jasper, WebFocus, Actuate, and eSpreadsheet
  • Use SQL for analysis, query performance tuning, and data validation
  • Work with data sourcing teams and product stakeholders to maintain data integrity and align outputs with business logic
  • Serve as an IRD subject matter expert for ad hoc report development and issue resolution
  • Keep current with big data platforms, cloud technologies, Databricks, Snowflake, and enterprise data warehouses
  • Lead report development for State Street Investment Services clients and turn complex data into actionable visualizations

Requirements

  • Experience with State Street’s IRD platform is preferred but not mandatory
  • Proficiency with BI tools such as JasperReports, WebFocus, Actuate, and eSpreadsheet
  • Strong SQL capability and experience working in large-scale data warehouse environments
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality practices
  • Familiarity with big data platforms, cloud technologies, Snowflake, and Databricks
  • Understanding of front-, middle-, and back-office investment operations and the trade lifecycle
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities while delivering accurate work on schedule
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, MIS, computer science, or a related discipline
  • At least 6 years of experience in data analysis, dashboard development, and business intelligence
  • Experience with financial reporting, data warehousing, and BI tool architecture
  • Familiarity with SDLC or Agile practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
