Principal Project Engineer, Site Implementation Planning Lead - RTX, California Remote

Lead implementation planning for RTX radar-system upgrades supporting aviation and air-traffic solutions. Coordinate site readiness, subcontractors, logistics, testing, certification, and Government compliance.

Description

  • Coordinate engineering teams and subcontractor activities
  • Partner with program management and customer representatives
  • Direct technical performance and schedule compliance for the Radar System Replacement program
  • Support planning and installation of upgraded radar infrastructure for domestic and international customers
  • Maintain the RSR System Level Implementation Plan and manage Site-Specific Implementation Plan submissions and approvals
  • Verify SSIP compliance with program requirements, operational and logistical needs, and RTX and Government standards
  • Convert subcontractor site-survey results into actionable plans to close issues and support timely implementation
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and customer or Government personnel on ATS equipment plans for installation, testing, and certification
  • Lead subcontractor site-preparation coordination covering power, structural, and environmental infrastructure, and confirm site readiness
  • Manage site logistics, including access, tools, materials, and equipment deliveries
  • Address logistics issues and ensure resources are available and staged on schedule
  • Oversee subcontractor quality performance for radar infrastructure maintenance and sustainment
  • Coordinate second-level engineering responses to anomalies in deployed equipment
  • Support the program chief engineer in managing RTX engineering functions within Government authorization, budget, and schedule constraints
  • Assist with the development and delivery workflow for Government CDRLs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced related degree with at least 5 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required because these programs and contracts authorize access only for U.S. citizens
  • Project management experience
  • Experience preparing sites, including power, structural, environmental, and related infrastructure
  • Experience interpreting site surveys and converting findings into actionable plans
  • Experience managing or executing surveillance radar system upgrades, repairs, and installations
  • Experience managing logistics for radar system upgrades, repairs, and installations
  • Experience coordinating program performance activities with U.S. Government or comparable Government personnel
  • Experience reporting program performance to senior U.S. Government leadership
  • Experience overseeing multiple engineering disciplines on a U.S. Government program
  • Experience supervising and being accountable for engineering personnel performance on a U.S. Government program
