Press Operator, Post Punch – 2nd Shift
Operate and maintain press machinery that cuts, forms, and shapes metal products at Ideal Tridon Group’s Wesanco facility in Tennessee. This full-time second-shift role includes machine setup, troubleshooting, quality checks, and preventative maintenance.
Description
- Run presses to cut, form, and shape metal products
- Load and unload metal coils and supply machines with metal strut
- Change dies and complete press setups
- Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions and irregularities
- Repair equipment to maintain proper operation
- Carry out preventative maintenance on press machinery
- Follow established operating and safety procedures
- Monitor material availability and replenish supplies before production stops
- Inspect products and complete quality checks
- Keep the machine area clean and orderly
- Prepare production reports
- Handle completed parts and products correctly
- Work Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with overtime as needed and possible weekend work
- Complete other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Hi-Lo certification is preferred; training and certification are provided
- One year of manufacturing experience is preferred
- Pass a drug screening and background check
- Have reliable transportation
- Demonstrate strong verbal communication and the aptitude to operate machinery
- Follow instructions and learn the production process
- Demonstrate strong organization and attention to detail
- Manage time effectively
- Perform repetitive tasks
- Bend, twist, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, sit, and occasionally climb stairs
- Lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Wear required hearing and eye protection
- Meet the physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
