OSP Telecommunications Designer (Hybrid)

Design fiber and copper outside-plant telecommunications networks for Ledcor Technical Services. Develop constructible GPON designs, schematics, bills of materials, and construction quotes while supporting field operations.

Description

  • Design fiber optic and copper outside-plant networks for FTTH deployments and commercial developments
  • Coordinate with power companies on power routes and one-line schematics
  • Manage network growth and sustainment, including relocations and infrastructure changes
  • Conduct quality-control reviews, field checks, and OSP record interpretation
  • Develop system designs, bills of materials, and construction quotes
  • Complete site walks to collect field data
  • Partner with engineering, design, construction, and other cross-functional teams
  • Support construction personnel with safety and quality-control activities
  • Perform office and field work under the direction of the Design Manager

Requirements

  • College, trade, or technical diploma, preferably in civil, electrical or telecommunications, or GIS
  • At least three years of OSP telecommunications or related experience using AutoCAD
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Google Earth, Bluebeam, and Adobe
  • GIS experience is an advantage
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities
  • Ability to interpret construction documents
  • Effective collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required
