Onsite Robotics Engineering Manager

Description

  • Lead the Robotics Planning and Data Pipeline teams
  • Oversee robotics planning and data pipeline systems and software from initial concept through lifecycle management
  • Manage engineering staff and activities to meet organizational goals while supporting professional development
  • Develop engineers in ways that advance enterprise objectives and individual career aspirations
  • Track and improve product and process performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness
  • Establish and maintain processes for software, systems, and emerging technology development
  • Set strategy and roadmaps, then guide execution through completion
  • Build alignment across teams
  • Communicate roadmaps and priorities to stakeholders throughout the company
  • Partner with engineering managers, senior leaders, and other stakeholders
  • Promote innovation, accountability, quality, safety, collaboration, continuous learning, and ongoing improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in accredited robotics, electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering, or computer science
  • Extensive experience leading technical engineering teams
  • Demonstrated experience with product development lifecycle projects, including understanding constraints and translating strategic goals into execution
  • Leadership experience in autonomous or robotics teams, with technical domain expertise and awareness of customer challenges
  • Knowledge of the construction and mining industries
  • Understanding of effective listening and communication concepts, tools, and techniques
  • Knowledge of people-management processes, including leading successful teams and addressing performance and workplace conflicts
  • Knowledge of effective global collaboration practices and the ability to work with people across countries and cultures
  • Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies
  • Full-time work is required at the Mossville, Illinois, or Irving, Texas, office
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
  • Successful completion of a drug screening is required
