Onsite Assembly Cell Operator in Lafayette

Build and test electronic components, wiring, fixtures, and assemblies for Acuity’s industrial technology products. This full-time onsite role emphasizes safe work, quality standards, troubleshooting, and precise manual assembly.

Description

  • Build fixtures, mount electronic components, and integrate them into larger assemblies or enclosures
  • Install electrical wiring correctly and securely
  • Test equipment and troubleshoot issues before initial or renewed service
  • Assemble parts manually or with small hand tools
  • Construct electronic components, subassemblies, and finished products
  • Comply with security requirements, safety procedures, work instructions, and quality standards
  • Develop proficiency with manual tool operations
  • Complete assigned work precisely and attentively
  • Collaborate effectively in a team setting

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to learn and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with specialized configurations
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Dependable work ethic and sense of urgency
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to set priorities
  • Quick, self-directed learning ability
  • Basic mathematics proficiency
  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills preferred
  • Prior electronics experience preferred
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed preferred
  • Ability to read and understand English
  • Experience using hand tools such as drills, crimpers, wire strippers, screws, bolts, rivets, press fits, or comparable tools
