On-site Accounts Payable Specialist
Manage accounts payable records, trust-account checks, and insurance statement reconciliations. Support the Insurance Accounts Payable Supervisor with general ledger reconciliation.
Description
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records.
- Prepare and distribute checks drawn from the company trust account.
- Produce monthly account-current statements or booking reports as needed.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between company and insurer statements or account-current records.
- Alert the servicing Producer to accounting irregularities.
- Ensure insurers receive accurate, timely payments.
- Help the Insurance Accounts Payable Supervisor reconcile company payables with the general ledger.
- Handle other assigned duties.
- Serve as a point of contact between the company and insurance companies.
Requirements
- High school diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least two years of related full-cycle accounts payable experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting terminology.
- Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Able to file and use general office equipment.
- Able to collaborate effectively and contribute to teamwork.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
